It would be nice if I could output an item to a chest instead of just dropping it to the floor, this would be really nice, with VNC combined with a chest. If you don't have a neural interface, either because you are poor, or lazy.

If you place a chest in front of the turtle, it should place the items in the chest (have not tried but should work).

you could try doing this by placing a chest in front of the turtle and setting it as a transfer chest (a transfer chest basically moves items from one chest to another) - you would need to have the chest in front of the turtle and the chest you want to output to connected to the same Milo wired network
