  • ALCOM now supports Unity Hub from Flatpak directly without needing a script
  • I don't know why we are mentioning Unity 2021 here given that VRChat jumped from 2019 to 2022. Is the bee_backend stuff applicable to those as well?
  • How common are Pro and Plus Licenses really?

Unity Hub AppImage is becoming more and more broken, so I'd like to recommend Unity Hub Flatpak for everyone, but with a caveat:

Most folks on distros other than Arch will be getting the ALCOM via AppImage, which has an unresolved white-screen bug on any version newer than v0.1.15, which is well before Unity Hub Flatpak became directly supported. So your workaround script is still necessary for those folks not on Arch.
